After 8 Months On The Waiting List, They Let Me In–Finally!

Confession.

Like you, I’m a busy woman, and fitting exercise/movement into my life is not always a breeze.

Never mind the challenge of fitting it into my packed schedule, being motivated in the moment when there’s so much else on my “to do” list is its own hurdle.

So when I do find motivation, I treasure it and pay attention. In fact I’m always on the look out for its presence. That’s why I waited 8 months on a waiting list (8 months!) before being finally accepted to the class of one of my belly dance gurus, because this woman makes me want to mo-o-ove.

Contrast that with the 12-month gym membership I once bought (paid in full) that was used only once! Ahem, let’s call that “research,” shall we?

I’ve since realized that not any old type exercise is going to do it for me, and that I need to find forms of movement that are compelling, not just because of how many calories they burn, but for the physical experience they give my female body. So much so that when I find the right fit, she, my female body, ends up tugging at my coat-tails, saying, “hey you up in your head, get off the computer, I want to move!”

And so I listen, more and more, and the more I listen the better life gets, and in this video you’ll see me in action, getting my body to where she longs to be. Watch this the video of me after 8 months of waiting.

Fortunately, a woman never has to settle for boring, punishing exercise, and if you simply open to the possibility of pleasurable fitness, you’ll find boatloads of other choices that will make moving your female body feel like yet another one of the delicious privileges that comes along with being a woman.

Leave me a comment with your ideas on how to make fitness pleasurable for YOU. After all, moving your body is a privilege, not a chore.

With love and support,
xo Jena
