How to Stop being Unhappy with Your Female Body

I confess that recently I’ve been feeling pretty grumpy about the aches and pains I’ve been experiencing in my female body. 

Because of shoulder pain caused by a car crash a year ago, I feel slowed down in my dancing, my writing, and in spontaneous pleasures like jumping on my bike for a joyride.

The pain definitely bothers me. Yet, even though I’m unhappy with how much pain I feel, I’m very clear to let my body–who I refer to as my Female Animal body–know that I’m not unhappy with HER. 

I want her to feel assured that I adore her, I’m grateful for her, and I’m appropriately in awe with her, for all she does to keep me alive. 

Similarly, just because you feel like there’s something out of balance in your body confidence, relationship with food, or sexuality, it doesn’t mean there’s something bad or wrong with her, your female animal body. Don’t confuse the two!

If you’re wanting to lose weight, and be at peace with food, the most effective way to do so is to fully embrace that your body is not an object who is yours to push around as you please. 

She is a living, breathing, sensing, feeling, decision-making, wise, intuitive creature, with a guidance system of her own.

Above all she’s someone to take pride in, not to feel miserable about.
