Pleasure Camp NYC Event Featured in Elle Magazine: Pleasurable Weight Loss.com

I’m totally excited to share that I’m featured in Elle magazine online this week.

You can check it out by clicking here

The story describes the journey of one of the attendees to my Pleasure Camp NYC event, Julia Allison.
Julia is a dating columnist on a personal quest for love as documented in her column, Guinea Pig Of Love.

Julia writes, “I finally got it. In order for my future husband to find me sexy, I have to find myself sexy first.”

If you want to be free from the voice in your head telling you your body is not good enough, and want to feel empowered — with your body, with food and last but not least, with men — then you’ll get something out of this story.

With love,
Jena

P.S. What Julia writes about occurred at Pleasure Camp last year, and you’ll be happy to know that registration for Pleasure Camp NYC 2012 has just opened up. Save the date — Nov 30 to Dec 2 — and take advantage of the early-bird discount and get your ticket here now.

  1. Jena, amazing article!

One part that really resonated with me was when you were quoted as saying, “A woman who disapproves of her body, her appetite, her beauty, and her pleasure, has a disadvantage in the game of love, even if she’s gorgeous.[…]”

I have been trying — over the last year or so — to understand what my appetites are, where they show up and how I can feed them without food, and in doing so I’ve noticed positive feedback every. single. time. It’s been amazing to see how people respond to me.

The author also states, “it seems obvious now: every area of your life affects every other area, and if you don’t love your body, you’ll choose [people] who reinforce your belief systems. In other words, your relationship with your body directly affects your relationships with [people]. But I didn’t connect the dots. ” I couldn’t agree more and it’s definitely a journey that is meant to be taken.

I used to want to rush to “fix” this struggle with food, but I learned how to see it as a portal to myself. Pleasure has been a big part of that, and I am absolutely certain that heeding it’s call can work wonders in building an incredible relationship between your body and mind.

Anyways, awesome article, J 🙂 So glad the power of Pleasure is on it’s way to reaching so many deserving women

    xo, Lex
